Based on Shiatsu acupressure techniques, and our specially designed Energizing Chair these Massage treatments are particularly effective in providing relief for tension and permits our practitioner to apply Shiatsu acupressure techniques to the back, head, neck, shoulders and arms in a smooth, rhythmic sequence.

The main muscle groups focused on and treated are usually the neck, shoulders, back, and arms, which are the body parts of desk-bound staff most commonly affected by tension and pain. Nonetheless, the treatment can also be extended to the head and legs.

Seated Shiatsu Massage is primarily meant to provide immediate stress, tension, and pain relief, while increasing blood circulation, immune system response, stamina, vitality, alertness, and focus.

The Energising Chair Massage

Based on Shiatsu acupressure techniques, the Energising Chair Massage treatments are particularly effective in providing relief for tension and pain often experienced by desk-bound staff working under pressure. Tight muscles caused by stress and sitting behind a desk all day, especially at a work station that is not ergonomically designed, can impede blood and lymph flow through the body. Such loss of circulation could result is mental fogginess, decreased energy and susceptibility to repetitive stress injuries, like carpal tunnel syndrome.

The chair massage involves the application of Shiatsu Acupressure to more than 100 different stress release points on the head, neck, shoulders, arms and back whilst seated, fully clothed in a specially designed chair. Practitioners use hands, thumbs and even elbows to knead, prod, pull and stretch the muscles in a smooth, rhythmic sequence. This is intended not only to relax aching muscles, but to release energy and invigorate both mind and body.
